What we do.
Consultation and digital strategy
Work out what to build before anyone builds it.
We sit with your team, write down every step of how the work actually happens now, and mark the parts software can take. You get the map whether or not you hire us for the build.
- ·A written map of your current workflow
- ·The steps worth automating, and the ones that are not
- ·What it would cost and how long it would take
- ·A second opinion on a quote you already have
Custom platforms and portals
One login instead of forty emails.
Somewhere the people you serve can sign in and help themselves. Delegates, patients, students, members. They check where things stand, send documents in and take their own paperwork out without going through anyone's inbox.
- ·Self-service accounts and secure sign-in
- ·Submission, review and approval workflows
- ·Document upload and download
- ·Roles and permissions that match how your team is organised
Websites and design
A site that looks like you mean it.
Brand, layout and copy, built as a real site rather than a page in a template builder. Fast on a phone on a slow connection, editable by someone who is not a developer, and yours to move elsewhere whenever you want.
- ·Identity, type and a design system you can reuse
- ·Copy written with you, not filled in with placeholder text
- ·Accessible markup and sensible performance budgets
- ·Content your own team can edit
Workflow automation
Delete the manual step.
The email nobody has time to write. The form someone retypes into a sheet. The monthly report assembled by hand. We find those and take them away.
- ·Documents and PDFs generated on demand
- ·Scheduled reports and reminders
- ·Forms that write straight to the database
- ·Tools you already pay for, talking to each other
Dashboards and reporting
Numbers you can trust on the day.
One screen showing what is actually happening, updated as it happens. Nobody has to ask three people and get three versions of the same figure.
- ·Live counts and status boards
- ·Exports for finance and committees
- ·Charts your team can read without training
- ·Alerts when something needs attention
Integrations and data migration
Move the old data in cleanly.
Getting years of records out of a legacy system, a pile of spreadsheets or somebody's inbox and into something that holds together. It is the least glamorous part of the job and usually the one that decides whether the rest works.
- ·Legacy data cleaned and imported
- ·Payment and mail providers connected
- ·Existing sheets and tools kept in sync
- ·A migration plan you can check before we run it
How We Work
No surprises, no big launch day.
Tell us what's painful
The spreadsheets, the threads, the form nobody fills in right. You don't need any technical words for this part.
We map it out
A free call where we write down every manual step and mark the ones software can take. The map is yours either way.
We ship in phases
Something usable in weeks, then built out from there. Not a year-long build with a launch date at the end.
It keeps running
There isn't much that can break. We're around for the week that actually matters, and you get the documentation regardless.
Common Questions
Before you ask.
Do you build websites, or software?+
Both, and the two jobs are not the same size. A website is a few weeks. A portal with sign-in, submissions, approvals and reporting behind it is a season. Plenty of clients come to us for the first and leave with a clearer idea of whether they need the second.
Can we hire you just to tell us what to do?+
Yes, and some clients only ever do that. We map the workflow, mark what is worth automating and write down what it would take. You can hand that to whoever you like, including another studio. We would rather lose a build than talk someone into one they don't need.
We're not technical. Is that a problem?+
That's most of our clients. You describe what your team does by hand, we turn it into a workflow and show it back to you in plain English before anything gets built. You never have to specify a database.
How long does this take?+
We build in phases, so something usable exists in weeks rather than at the end. A full conference platform is a season's work. A single automation might be two weeks. The scoping call gives you a real answer instead of a range.
What happens after launch?+
We stay reachable for the stretch that matters, like conference week or an enrolment window, and you get the documentation either way. We also write down what we know is still untested, because a handover that only lists the good news is not a handover.
Do we own what you build?+
Yes. The code, the data and the accounts are yours. We don't keep projects on our own hosting, and there's no licence to keep paying for.
Can you work with the systems we already have?+
Usually. Most of our projects involve pulling data out of something old and keeping a few existing tools in the loop. We'll tell you early if something can't be connected.
